Funco originally started out in business making custom sandcars frames for VW engines over 30yrs ago. Although today we manufacture an assortment of kits and turn-key cars for all types of engines, we still offer customization of off-road configurations for almost any application. Examples are:

FAVoR stands for Fast Attack Vehicle Replica. Perfect for pre-running race courses, this car incorporates a beefier suspension, along with windshield, full roof and body panels. This car accommodates those super long rides when you need to be prepared for almost anything. And talk about a smooth ride in Baja, you just can't match an air bag suspension for silky smooth comfort, yet brawny enough to soak up to worse terrain you can imagine.

Rescue vehicles

Funco also offers various special configurations for a variety of applications. Here's an example of the "SERV" (Sand Emergency Rescue Vehicle), complete with gurney. The BLM needed a smooth ride to haul out injured people, they found it in a modified Big 5. A key benefit was it decreased their response times dramatically getting to injured people, which is a good thing.
